Spanish is one of my favourite foods. When I was a kid I use to go to Madrid at least twice a year and have lovely chorizo and churros. Spanish food is very diverse if you consider its cultural diversity. The food from the north could be remarkably different from the south.
One of the typical plates from the south is gazpacho. This is a combination of tomato, cucumber red and green pepper, onion, garlic and other ingredients. One of my favourite dishes is the Spanish Fabada. This is the Spanish version of a meaty stew. It contains chickpeas, chorizo, morcilla (black pudding), bacon pieces and other spices. It is an absolute delicious dish combined with a deep Spanish flavoured wine. Here are some examples of different dishes from different regions of Spain.
